While we’re often so focused on developer workflows with serverless tools, it’s important to also understand what kinds of organizations are adopting serverless workflows and environments, and what their motivations are for doing so. In this episode of The New Stack Makers, we spoke to Jared Short, Director of Innovation at Trek10, about why organizations are making a change to serverless, and to what extent they’re investing in it. Jared spoke about how the traditional Ops team has to change with serverless, but that doesn’t mean it disappears. We also spoke about the learning curve with serverless, changing customer needs, and the curious case of some users skipping containers entirely and moving straight to serverless.
